I know that it is not possible. But I want to know, if the performance of two cards VOODOO5 5500 in SLI (64MB 4XFSAA). It have the same performance that a VOODOO5 6000(128MB 8XFASA)[:I]

if you could connect 2 voodoo5 5500 in SLI, i guess it would perform within a few percentages of a genuine Voodoo5 6000.

one card is always a little bit faster than two cards in SLI.
That may be possible with Voodoo5 PCI cards, but they would have to be connected somehow.
Even if you manage to connect them two cards, they will only do 4xFSAA - as far as I know...

Megabyte wrote a driver - it has never been released -  where they got 2 Banshees to run in SLI. Voodoo3 3000 PCI cards were running as well. The driver is not available to the public as Megabyted suddenly stopped to work on Hardware, but that shows a Voodoo PCI SLI is possible.

The problem to make work two VOODOO5 5500 PCI in SLI is  software or hardware (connected 2 cards)?

hi guys

i just got a agp to pci convotor card from japan today

and wow it allows me to plug in two voodoo6000 cards into one machine

now i got to talk hank into building a genlock for the 2 video signals from each v6k to combine them into 1 monitor signal and then there the 3dfx drivers which need some code to allow them to play games on two v6k system

lol i wonder if we can ever see this happen

this would allow 16x fsaa with 2x V6ks in 1 system

would it be possible to have 4 x v6ks in 1 system and get 64x fsaa

If this could be... Imaginete to haver 2 voodoo5 5500 apg! (8xfsaa)

i dont think it can be done with a V3 or V5, but maybe with a banshee, since the banshee uses the V2 engine, or maybe SLI between a V2 and a Banshee? that'd be kinda cool, but probably as impossible as V5 SLI. hmm, would it be possible to do an SLI with three or four V2s? i know this is getting off topic...

the other question is, where/how on earth can I get one of those AGP to PCI converters like elvis has?

It Is possible and has been done by software. Even a TNT2 was running in SLI, but I don't know if they had to modify the cards.
Probably not, cause SLI should be enabled through their driver even if it is non existent in Hardware.
