PPl,this must be because of X-mas,I stop and think..3dfx has gone some years ago..and look at this community..there are new drivers,3dfx cards running some recent games..all this is so "beautiful" (I don't know the world in english..maybe magnificent?lol)..
As X-Mas gift,I think I'll get some old skool parts for a better 3dfx System:
Epox 8k5A2
256 DDR400 kingston with TCCC chips
AMD Athlon 1800+ (maybe a JIUHB that does 2600+ =) )
the card will be the V3 3000 or...a v5500,if I can get mine repared :P

unfortunetly I'll have to sell my 2xCreative V2 SLi,but, well that is gonna be kinda x-mas present for the guy wich is buying them to me..=)

Hi skinnie

I have that same mobo as you have and it can run much faster... ;) In my opinion it is the best motherboard for Voodoo cards. I have Epox 8k5a2+ with AMD Athlon Barton 3000+ and V56k and I must say, it is quite fast...

hmm I sold my second EP-8K5A2+ because it ran some simple games unstable like Red Alert2 and Emperor Battle Of Dune, the EPoX EP-8K3A+ is alot better it runs every game with out problems and if you like SMP I'd say go for the Tyan Tiger MPX :) for Dual AthlonMP 1600+ til 2800+ :)

the best non-V56K mobo I have had for the 5000 AGP was and still is the ASUS A7V333-R Rev1.02

mine is the 8k5a2,not the 8k5a2+,in portugal this mobos are very rare,so I think it was a good choice..indeed I think I paid too much for a kt333 board..but that doesn't matter..happy X-MAS 3dfxers :)

yeah happy X-Mas too ;)

the only difference to the 8K5A2 and 8K5A2+ is that the 8K5A2+ has a Raid controller and a RJ45 100Bit Ethernet jack ;) overall same chipset,, very reliable V6K board though hehe :)

only the Voodoo 5 5000 AGP x4 doesn't liek it, therefore the ASUS A7V333-R rev 1.02 it works fine with the V5K in 98SE with SLI FSAA x2 and x4 but in NT based OS'es only single chip oh well the V5K AGP is a Rev.A0 prototype, can't blame it hehe :)

Anybody got snow with their X-Mas yet?

It is a good mobo skinnie...Like Obi-van said, only the Voodoo5 5000 AGP 4x is maybe issue, but that card is quite rare. In basic Voodoo5 5500 AGP 2x and others 2x cards have no problems with this board.

Here in Finland...No snow.. ;)

well ppl,I got tricked (I don't know the world in english),I paid the guy the 8k5a2 and the board never came :( tried everything but  nothing..
as finding a kt333 mobo here in Portugal is very hard and expensive (kt333 mobos cost as much or more as nf2 mobos) I decided to buy a "dead" lanparty nf2 ultra b (I know it is it's bios dead, and as I have one,5 minutes and it live again :) ) and a 5500 pci,are there any issues?
guys here are nuts..one guy ask me 100eur for a 5500 agp...lolol..ok a 5500 is a very good card but for me it's value is about 30/40eur..and for that price I could buy a a ti4200 or more...well the pci cost me 60eur..but it's  a pci :)
for the mems,I am thinkin of buying a pair of mushkin's 2x256 that does 250@2-2-2-5 @2.8v...and maybe change the with my ocz pc3500 limited edition..don't know..
well it is just to keep u updated guys :P
