Voodoo5 5500 AGP... What mainboard?

I had purchased an old MSI MS-5169 (ALi Aladdin 5) with an AMD K6-2 450Mhz to use with a Voodoo5 5500 AGP I bought off eBay for a Win98SE legacy gaming box. Other than Glide games, other Direct3D, and OpenGl games either don't run, or have messed up textures. I'm not trying to run newer titles, just older Win9x games that refuse to run on WinXP, and newer hardware. I tried different comninations of DirectX versions, and original 3DFX, and 3rd party drivers. Nothing seems to work.
I seen a Voodoo2 SLI setup on eBay for $13.00 shipped. I figured maybe it would work better, so I was planning on replacing the Voodoo5 with an old ATI Rage IIc 8MB AGP I had in my closet, and using the Voodoo2 SLI for 3D. Well, the ATI card doesn't like the MS-5169 mainboard. The only other AGP card I have is a GF4 Ti4400, but it doesn't work in the mainboard either.
I'm wondering if the Voodoo5 would work better in a different mainboard. I have a Celeron 700Mhz CPU chip in the closet. What are some good Celeron 700Mhz compatable mainboards that are known to work flawlessly with the Voodoo5 AGP?
MSI MS-5169
AMD K6-2 450Mhz
320MB PC100 SDRAM
3DFX Voodoo5 5500 AGP
SB Live! PCI Soundcard

Try to get a cheap Asus P3B-F ( Slot1, you need an Adapter for your Celeron-700 ), or a P2B ( Slot1 ), CUBX or Cusl2-C/Tusl2-C.
All those boards ran fine with my V5-5500.

I have had good luck with most any board with the BX 440 chipset. I am currently using a Supermicro P6DBE with dual 1 gig processors, a V5 5500agp, and V4 4500 in dual monitor mode, running Windows 2K. Also a Supermicro P6SBA with a 550 Mhz processor, V5 5500agp,running Windows 98SE, with no problems

Athlon XP-M 2800+
Epox 8k5a2+ VIA-KT333
1GB Infineon RAM
Voodoo 5 5500 AGP:D
SFFT Alpa40 + 3dfx-Tools
*My System*:)

The VIA-KT333 is the last (VIA) Chipset to support 3,3V-only AGP-Grafic-Cards (like Voodoo3 or Voodoo5).
VIA-KT400 and above supports 1,5V AGP-Cards only![V] (AGP8x-Specification seams to be very difficult)

By 3dfx, only Voodoo4 has 1,5V-AGP support (because of single chip VSA100).;)

[xx(][xx(]NVIDIA[xx(][xx(] Nforce2 or above are also 1,5V-AGP only.

!!If somebody has a newer board that runs with 3,3V-AGP Card, please post here!!

Sorry, did Voodoo4 realy have 1,5V-AGP support? (or AGP-4x support only)?[?]

;)This seams to be 2 different things. 1,5V is the "electrical support" of the graphic-board, AGP 4x is the connection speed of the AGP-Bus to the graphic-board.;)

Voltage and AGP-velocity are linked together, which means :

AGP-4x always runs with 1.5V, AGP-8x runs with 0.8V.
AGP-1x or 2x runs with 3.3V.

The only 3dfx card with AGP4x support is in fact the V4-4500 ( let aside the rampage and daytona prototypes ).
Some V5-5500 and V5-5000 are keyed mechanicaly to fit in an AGP4x slot, but still work with 3.3V and operate at AGP2x.

Thank you Rolo01,
this is what is also in my mind and I have read in some magazines.[8D]

[?]Some descriptions say it is possible to "down speed" an AGP-8x graphic-card on an AGP-8x mainboard to AGP-4x or even AGP-2x.
Perhaps this is only affected to the "speed-setting" of AGP. The graphic-cards will work on in 0,8V or 1,5V.
Is it right?[?]

[ In this thought: There it must be possible to ,,down speed" an AGP-4x graphic-card to AGP-2x and it will work on in 1,5V instead of 3,3V ]
Right, too?

I have never tried it.;)
