You mentioned that your v56k is incompatible with asus a7v333. Did you test it? And if you did, did it damage the 6k?

Yes. I tried it on an Asus A7V333 (pcb 2.0) and no boot so i stopped the machine immediately.
Then i tried it on an Albatron KX400+ Pro (KT333) and the card booted.

ps : if you're afraid to put a V5 6000 (always a rare card) on a mobo ECS, maybe you can to try to find a mobo Epox.
This manufacturer seems highly compatible with the V5 6000.

I know. But my problem is that i live in ****ty Romania. I can not find an Epox kt333 here. The only way is to get it is from german Ebay. Best regards. Alpar

Epox is a very good manufacturer (at least for me). I own 2 mobos Epox (KT133A and KT266A), nice mobos.
The 8KA2 is a good choice.

Just to let you know, I tryed the 6k in my k7vta3 3.1 (latest bios), and it works perfectly. The only problem is if you take it out, then put it back in, there will be no video. You have to first plug in another video card (i use a V3), power up the pc, then shut it down, take out the other video card and plug in the 6k. Just couldn't leave my 6k gathering dust untill my Epox arrives.

Your power supply is sufficient ?

Ofcourse. It is a 450W PSU. I have a minor problem though. The screen is shaking a little bit.(noticable especially at the border lines of windows) It seems like an electrical noise. Did you notice the same thing?

I don't remember this problem.

you have noise coming in from the AC line into the power supply.  try a different power strip or UPS.  sometimes old power strips can produce noise on the line.
