Hi, everybody~~~~:)
As you know, I am using the onboard Voodoo3 which only has 8MB VRAM.
However, sometimes, the card cann't play some games or softwares,
which require 16MB VRAM.(such as GTA3, Apache Longbow assault etc.)
Is there any tricks to the cheat the game(s) or software(s),
to think that my card have 16MB VRAM???????;)
Is there any method(s)????? Such as edit the regedit????[|)]
Please help me!!!!![:(]

no.the onboard voodoo3 doesnt use system memory like most onboard graphics cards do today,it has its own 8 megs of memory which are physically present.no way around this..

But if it have a PCB of 16 megs cards you can try to add some memory chips :).

Can't use some "tricks" in the Windows to make the games to "think" that my card has 16MB VRAM???????[:(]

I do not mean that to make my card has 16MB VRAM really,
is just "make" the games "think" that my card have 16MB VRAM!!!!!!!

No, unluckily.
That would perhaps "easier" to find an other card with more memory and to install it in a slot pci on your mobo.
(if you can disable the onboard card)

Teff, I don't think going from 8MB to 16MB is going to help you with games issues. GTA3 don't run even on a 16MB V3[:p]
Maybe it would help with speed, but it's not worth the effort

So, I cannot "trick" the games to think that my card have 16MB VRAM
just like using the 3D-Analyze to "trick"
the games to think my card support HW T&L(or something like that)?
Isn't it??[xx(]

Not only GTA3, I think, some games can play with Voodoo3,
but "require" 16MB VRAM, so I can't play them!!!!![xx(]

Usually you can disable the onboard video in the BIOS.

what exact motherboard do you have?  the easiest solution would be to buy a V4 PCI and be done with it.......
Bloody Mess

Nightbird

I think that the mobo is a MSI 6168 (chipset ZX) with a V3 2000 8 mo onboard (or something like that) but Teff will be able to write it.
