Well I just found this item on eBay (url=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6745246167). The seller said it burned out the CPU somehow, but when he checked with overclockers.co.uk they said it's working fine.

This was a new motherboard from my pc and for some reason burned out my cpu and was checked with overclockers.co.uk who said that it is working fine! but I already have another motherboard by then! so did'nt need this one..... So if it works then fine? you got yourself a really good deal here!!!! but if it does not? then thats up too you? never did check to see if it was ok as I already stated that I already had another motherboard by the time it was returned....

So how much is the risk I'm buying a non-functional Mobo? How does a Mobo burn the CPU, by the way? Is that a sign of Mobo malfunction, or just a wrong settings all the way? And would the Mobo also be damaged after the CPU burns? I'm pretty much a newbie in hardware stuff. Thanks!

Anyway, since it's only priced at GBP 1....

Well personally, I wouldn't buy any computer, motherboard, grahpics board(Cept Fire gls, and Voodoos If I had the money to right now), etc that has been used like that.
I say screw it and get a motherboard that fits AMDs and comes with the Amd Sempron for free.

And another thing, what CPU did it use?
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1 gb ddr
Western Digital 80 gig
ATI Radeon x800

Well the Mobo is A7V333, where a V5 5500 can be put into.

[8D] Personally if it was a Intel chipset and all your probally not gonna want to use it agen but on the other hand i have a VIA M811 mobo and it burnt out my duron amd and the mobo is fine i have a amd athlon XP2200+ in it now currently running alil too fast well not at the moment i need a new psu first:P[^] other than that i guess you could just buy a new mobo combo with a cpu that would be the better thing to do after all it is quite cheaper than buying a new cpu
