Hi, I'm new, my PC has:

Pentium 3 532
128 mb RAM
Windows XP
Voodoo 3 3000 AGP Tv out

Since I change to XP, I'm using the AmigaSport drivers, this allowed me to have the 3dfxTools, the thing is that even esporadically, when playing some game, I always have some issue, and rarely instead of using them in a more natural Glide rendering, I have to settle them in D3D, this happened to me with Deus Ex, Sacrifice, and Operation Flashpoint, and can't recall if System Shock 2 too.
So far are good drivers but this stuff pissed me off, and the main problem is not only set to D3D, or minor crashing, is that is impossible to watch many games on a 1024x768 resolution.
Today I change the drivers to the ones in the VoodooXtreme_1.07.00_WinXP_2K_V3_4_5, still keeping the Tools from Amiga, and I can use Deus Ex in 1024x768 resolution, with some minor issues, but hell I have few RAM, and an old processor, so I know my card can do everything.

1. Can I keep this combination?
2. Is better to keep this drivers, and combine them with some old 3dfxTools instead of the ones in Amiga?
3. Are these Xtreme drivers a third party ones with the old last original denomination (1.07.00)?
4. Is Amigamerlin better then Amigasport for my card and OS?

The thing is soon I'm going to format my hard drives, and I'm planning to do the little installation I can, and I will like to know which will be the best drivers, also being far from an expert are the Tools necessary? in case they aren't, which single drivers will be better, of course those only D3D from microsoft will be blow in a sec...Or better if not only the 3dfxTolls are important, which other tools do you recomend me to install, thanx in advance and sorry for the long post.

PD: I guess I'm in the land of AMigasport and AMiga merlin, and talking about another drivers may be at least rude, but I really need an honest help, BTW since is an italian forum Aguante Il Calcio!!! and for Napoli fans buy the kid Messi from Barca, if not there he will dissapear...

..if its working, dont fix it.almost any driver/tools combo should work, and if your games work, there is no need to change stuff.that should cover the first two questions.amigaMERLIN drivers are for voodoo4/5 only, dont use them.and I have never tried extreme drivers, amigasport has always worked fine for me..

You could try the SFFT Alpha 23 for the V3, this uses the glide and opengl from Amigersport 3 but has an updated D3D kernel. The updated D3D kernel is used in the later Amigerlin drivers anyway. It fixes a nunber of D3D issues. Its the same D3D kernel for the V3 or V4/5 although the glide files are specific to the V3.

Thanks both, SFFT, where can I download the alpha 23 drivers? and sorry I'm a dumbass, but the 3dfxtools of amigasport, or older, will work with them?, thank again in advance...

ps47, I think the same that if it works don't fix it, but I wanted to know the new and best drivers in your opinion, becuase as I said with the fresh installation I do not wont to try stuff...

Another question, with my specifications, what new game, or newer game than the mentioned can I play?

The drivers are on this site somewhere, I think that there is a link to them on the home page. They work with the Amigersport tools. Just install the driver components over the Amigersport drivers using the control panel.
