Hi PaRaNoiD,

Voodoo2 SLI is actived by a SLI cable which join the cards
See image:

W/out this cable OS 'll see  both V2 separtely.

Tip: if you installed Voodoo2 on old system, you get best performance with Windows 9X/ME.

If need, i'm here.

Thanks for thr reply Glide.

I have the 2 cards in the second and third PCI slots and the SLI cable is connecting both together. I downloaded the FastV2 2.0 of the main page(of this site) and in the read me file it says

"I suppose that in Start/Control Panel/System/Device Manager your Voodoo2 is (are if you have two card connected in SLI mode) named:

"PCI Multimedia Device"

I have my cards connected with the cable but in Device Manager it see them as two separate cards. I try removing them and adding them again but still no go.

Any help would be great.

If in device manager you see

- PCI Multimedia Device
- PCI Multimedia Device

...and others multimedia device...

it is NORMAL!

You must install twice FastVoodoo2 driver clicking on "Driver Update" button for both PCI Multimedia Device.
After rebooting you'll find in device manager

That's all

PaRaNoiD

Got it running.

Thanks Glide for all your help.

Later.

I have this problem:

I've installed two Diamond Monster II (Voodoo2) 8Mb with the cable pluged between them. In Windows XP, in the Device Manager window, I see that both cards are installed OK. But when I click the 'System Info...' button from the 3dfx V2-1000 tab, in the Display Properties, SLI is not detected.
I have also installed Windows 98 SE in the same PC, and SLI works fine.
Any ideas?

hum, i don't know if the driver detects properly the Sli under XP and probably Win2k (perhaps Glide ?)

but you can try to run the cards in 1024*768, only a Sli can it

(would be interesting that you try an other driver like Anthony Toste' Basic Voodoo2 Driver - for Win2K and WinXP - in order to see if the problem exists with an other driver)
