Hi,

I need Mesa 4.x or Mesa 5.x compiled for both voodoo cards (Mesa 5.1 in this site is compiled without V2 support). Please, send an email with link to s_georgiev@abv.bg

How do you know? The trick is to use the RIGHT Glide3x! Mesa had Voodoo2 support from the initial 0.51 release! Heheheheh! If only people would have been curious... they might have discovered that themselves.

I tried two versions of drivers - the original 3dfx and Fast Voodoo 2 gold from this site - Quake 3 can't start - it just beep and quit without any error message. With Mesa 3.1 (old copy) I am able to start it. I just want more performance. Yesterday I received a message from Glide (in italian messageboard) about minor error in driver. I am just curious where exactly - in compiled Mesa 5.1 or in FastV2 gold? By the way, it can't work with the original drivers...
In the Readme I read Mesa 5.1 is compiled for Voodoo Banshee, Voodoo 3/4/5, I don't see any word about Voodoo Graphics/Voodoo 2. Is it an accident?
So, if someone knows where I can find Mesa 4.x compiled with 3Dfx supoort, please, tell me.
Also, I am interested about D3D with V2 and Win 2k/XP. Any project?

Yes, it is an accident! BTW, in which README did you READ that? Mesa's own or 3dfxzone README? IMHO, Mesa's README.3DFX should supercede 3dfxzone's one. Don't you think?

But people is so lazy, if the information does not hit them directly in the face, they won't recognize it even it bites their asses. If you would have looked into MesaFX thread (right here on 3dfxzone) you should have noticed I myself tested Voodoo2. And it seems Voodoo1 works, too.

I usually do not respond to "this doesn't work" kind of things, but heck! anyway, that's the whole point of a forum, after all. Happy surfing.

Mesa 6.0 has been released. This is a stabilization of the 5.1 release and primarily just incorporates bug fixes.
New: - full OpenGL 1.5 support
------------------------------------------------

Opengl32.dll from Mesa 3.0 and 3.1 is about 1.1 Mb and it doesn't need his own Glide (works with Glide 3.x from the drivers)? This Mesa 5.1 is just about 490 Kb? Why??
I found in the Internet these precompiled Mesa binaries:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/glscene/Mesa3D-4.0.2-Win32.zip (1.1 Mb) - software only (too bad...)
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/glscene/Mesa3D-4.0.4-Win32.zip (497 Kb) - software only
Also I found some Mesa 3.x binaries - 1.1 Mb compiled with 3Dfx support.

If size does matter for you, then you must be a bad lover :D
Besides, neither my releases need a "special" Glide. You can use whatever Glide you want, but don't come back to me crying if you lack some features [:p]

He he :)
No, I am not a bad lover...
Newer Mesa 0.51h works! What about Mesa 6.0?

perer

Yes what about it does it have CVG in it. I thought it hasn't.
Because I can use that one instead of DBorca's one because he won't release his source (DBorca I am not attacking you I don't know why you don't release it, but in the end it is youre code ) and I wan't to use it to tweak it a little bit further.:D
Start War and peace will be appreciated
