He the new glide3 seems to be 3.10.00.40404.

Because I was working with version 3.10.00.30303 I surfed to the Glide project on sourceforge but there there was only the 'old'source.
Because I found the Glide3x with mesafx 0.51g SE, which supports Voodoo2, I wondered if this version of glide3 was compatible with glide3x (version 3.10.00.40404 was not compatible). Or was it the opengl32.dll that made the voodoo2 support possible. Or was this version of Glide not made out of the glide from the sourceforge project?

Somebody tell me. I think Koolsmoky know the answer If he worked on this version.

Yep, the current CVS snapshot at Glide SourceForge will eventually be rolled out as 40404 (h3 & h5 branches). The glide3x.dll for Voodoo2 (shipped with Mesa) is not from SourceForge. We hope that eventually we can roll out the CVG branch also...

CVG is for Voodoo2 (tested & working in DOS and Linux -- dunno about windoze). We hope we can fix it to run Voodoo1, also!
H3 is for Banshee and Voodoo3 -- pre-Napalm 2D/3D core. (tested & working in DOS, Linux, Win32, *BSD)
H5 is for Banshee, Voodoo3 and Napalm -- 2D/3D core. (tested & working in DOS, Linux, Win32, *BSD)

H3 is a bit faster than H5. That is, on HW that is supported by H3 (Banshee, Avenger). OTOH, it seems a bit buggy.

Thanks Know that I think about it, it was pretty clear.
The 3 in H3 stands for Voodoo3 and the 5 in H5 stands for Voodoo5.
But know, I will have a look at that CVG.:D
