ok i would like to know the ut2003.ini settings for the V5 5500 using winxp. i lost mine which i got from x3dfx long ago. n now i cant start the game. keeps giving error even though i modified the ini to the extend that i know of. anyone still have thesetting?

btw i'm using amiga's 3.0 xp driver.

also amiga.. many games arent working even though some of the games are kinda old , like blood omen 2.

i hope u could adress this game problem, as it restarts my pc whenever i start the game. it read b4 that its because the game directly acesses the hardware when starting which XP doesnt allow n hence restarting. i hope 3dfxzone would be able to fix that problem with thier next release. thanks

Hello there,Id say Use Win98SE with Amigamerlin 2.9, why, because this is why:

Point A. Win98SE is the best OS for Voodoo based cards.
Point B. Amigamerlin 2.9 has Geometry Assist [Emulate T&L]
Point C. Force 32Bit rendering is also a good idea sometimes.

And believe me!:) then your worries will be over, I got Max Payne1 + 2 running, flauwlessly, UT2003, GTAIII + Vice City, Jedi KnightII: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Freelancer and all of these without glitches and funny stuff.

And if you don't want to install Win98SE + Amigamerlin 2.9, well then I suggest you to try Amigamerlin 3.0XP with the newest 3D Analyse for your T&L Emulation.

The fact is that you need a T&L emulator to run these programs, and how it works is that the emulator tricks the PC and the program that your running by thinking that your Voodoo5 does have T&L , while it actually does not have it.

But in WinXP not all 3Dfx/3dfx base programs will run, so that's why I prefer and recommend Win98SE + Amigamerlin 2.9[^]

My system is this; just to let you know that this old OS runs fine on newer systems too.

And this all runs perfect under Win98SE + Amigamerlin 2.9, it runs very stable for about 8 months already, never have problems with it.

@Obi-Wan: what does 3D analyzer do in 3D Mark '01SE? I can run all those tests without it, but will it increase my scores? 534 is pretty darn bad (although it isn't my main box). By the way, do you have any idea how much of a barrier your V5 is? My XP 1800+/Radeon 9500 (not softmodded at the moment) pushes 10gs at times, latest score is 9764.
