Greetings

I saw Voodoo 5500 PCI on eBay (apparently for PC) with a DVI and analog connection. Is that possible? The ad maintained it was government sur-plus and that they did not know if it worked or not. Could it have been a Mac version? I have never seen a PC version with a DVI connection, not in retail anyway.

In your opinion, for a windows 98 SE system (Dell optyplex 150 tower, 256 Mb ram) that is meant only for playing games (dos and win 98 games) which will be better the PCI or AGP version of the 5500 ?

Thank you.

It's 100% 3dfx VoodooMAC 5500 PCI, only MAC versions with DVI port.
For games AGP would be better, but if you buy PCI version, you can use it through several years in you modern PC ;) So I'm have both Voodoo 5500 PCI & AGP on different cases.

Greetings,

On more questions:

In windows 98SE, can I use a PCI V5500 and an AGP NVIDIA both in the system, without disabling either one from the system menu? Meaning leaning them both enabled in windows as separate adapters?

Thank you.

I think No. Because V5500 has 2D+3D core. Voodoo1&2 is possible to use with other cards, but V5500 no. So I'm tried to use V5500 PCI & my GeFofce7900 PCI-E together, system started but monitor was black, when I remove GeFofce7900 I saw windows logo.
