I have a Voodoo4 PCI 4500, and I've had NeverWinter Nights for quite some time now, the game ran beautifully, never had any problems, not even crashes of any sort, no problems at all... until, something was changed, another driver was accidently installed, i forgot what it was called, Evolution driver or something, and it showed up as my video cards manufacturer, when that happened, Neverwinter Nights ceased to work, it would crash on start up back to desktop. I uninstalled the evolution driver and returned my video card to what it was BEFORE the evolution driver got installed, or atleast i thought i did.... but it still crashes on startup... ive contacted NWN technical support three times, and they give me answers that dont help what so ever, saying that my video card and such doesnt support NWN, but i wonder how that could be... since NWN gave me absolutely no trouble, until this happened.... answers or suggestions would be most appreciated...

this is a VERY old solution and works.  you need to get a set of drivers that contains the MESAfx openGL stuff in it.  do a search on these forums for the writeups on it......

as long as I know, all you need to do (assuming you have some "real" 3dfx driver installed, that means no default xp cr@p) is place the latest mesafx opengl32.dll to your NWN folder.using the latest glide3x would be a good idea as well, place it either in the NWN folder,or in your windows/system folder (system32 if you have win2000/xp).that should get it up and running..see here ;)
