was it ever done before? Cause i think with more voltage on chips (and RAM?) i could gain some more MHZ...

Hey,

Umm check in your bios there might be a feature in there that can change the voltage of your PCI slots, beware if there is and you have other cards apart from your V2 in it which you probably would they could die, just be careful, that would be the only way i could see you getting more voltage into the card i havent seen any sites or anything saying you can do it with just your V2 it is probably possible, but still i havent seen anything regarding it.

Hi, i never heard of chaning volts of PCI Slots in BIOS... i only know it that its possible on some boards with the AGP Slot..

I already tried voltmodding a Voodoo2... i used a variable resistor (Potentiometer) on that one mosfet... its nearly the same mosfet like on a geforce 2mx... so i tried my luck... i measured the resitance and the volt given by this mosfet and soldert this variable resistor... but when i raised the volt at this point the textures in 3d get corrupted... (after removing the vmod) everything was finde. the voodoo2 survived but i had no luck in vmodding it... it was only an assumption with my soldering experiment, but nevermind...

Hey,

Oh well nice try mate, i have never attemped to actually screw around with circuitry, i dont really push a card hard enough so it starts being unstable, although i did increase the clock on my 6600GT to 580/1220 and it was stable, every chip is different, you see people on other forums going why the hell does yours get so high and then they try and push it harder and it starts smoking. I havent overclocked any of my Voodoo's i dont really want to put much stress on them i want them to last so when i have kids and i have a PC that still supports them i will go here kids this was the card that changed the way people play games!

Damn that is too bad TM30 because I was planning to try that trick with that mosfet too [:(]. I now have a nearly blank V2 PCB (it was already broken when I got it) and figuring out each connection on that pcb, there must be a way so you can overvolt only the ram (the bottleneck when you overclock a voodoo2 with 100mhz memory).
Start War and peace will be appreciated
