Im trying to network my Win98se machine with my xp machines. ive done it b4 but its been so long. i used to be able to share files and connect to the internet. all the pcs link into a router so no ics or anything.

ive been on some website and read some tutorials but im not getting anywhere.. anyone doing this atm? any tips? cheers !

Bought a few copies for myself and my friends so we could have some nfs3:hp lan fun...

so far ive set it up on 3 XP machines after alot of hassle! ..but anyway they work so its all good.

Then i sat down at my legacy machine to install it again. I relaxed knowing that my win98se would snap this up no problem!! DOH! unfortunately.. its not having any of it . it installed fine but it wont run. after executing the .exe the screen goes back, flickers then dumps me on the desktop .

Anyone have any ideas? I think my cfg is in my sig. if not i will post again thanks...

Btw, i tried 'single chip mode' - didnt change a thing...

AVP2: custom detail, medium to high.. 1024x768x32

runs pretty well apart from on graphical error (as far as i can see..)

Mechwarrior 4: Ultra high detail.. 1024x768x32

runs very well apart from the fact it looks a bit sucky! it has the same problem with lighting. im no expert but im guessing it has to do with the vertex shaders.. you get this repetition of light across the texture.

Im using the latest Evolution drivers, Raziel64 u might be interested to look in to this?

Im having problems with UT2k4. I would like to try it with mesafx but the in-game menu does not give me the option of opengl what gives? i'm sure i have the latest version of UT2k4, 3355 or something...

d3d sucks it would seem.. will post screens very soon!

can anyone check my specs and suggest any settings driver updates etc..

does anyone else have any experiences to share with this game?

also is there a search function on this forum?
