As you all know, it's going very nice with my website. Thx to the info you guys gave me! It's time now to change the weird url (i-cey.net) to a .com or .net or .nl! Personally I like the .com. This is gonna cost me 12 euro's a year, which doesn't bother me at all! It's all for 3dfx!
So my question to you guys is: Do you guys think that the site name is ok? The Altar of 3dfx, which will result in the url www.3dfx-altar.com . Or do you guys think I have to name my site different? What name? What url? All suggestions are very much appreciated! This is also a site for you guys, so you may also decide!
How about:

www.3dfx-info.com
www.3dfxguru.com
www.guru3dfx.com
www.3dfxforever.com (site name changed to 3dfx Forever)

There's already a Russian site called 3dfx Forever.
To me the first one you suggested seems the best option.
The site is called that way so that url would fit best :)

Yes I think that www.3dfx-altar.com would be the best indeed. Hm maybe that's the one I 'm going to buy then, unless anyone has some great ideas for another site name and link :) Thx

I guess URL name should reflect the focus of the website. For example, is the site about 3dfx tweaking? 3dfx drivers? 3dfx history? 3dfx products?
By the way, this is your website, isn't it?

I just read it briefly, but the way I see it, it seems to be focused on the "museum" aspect:
- it has an overview on 3dfx history
- it displays complete product ranges, including unreleased products like
Rampage and special products like
Voodoo TV- it also has rare things like 3dfx Roadmap.
So I guess www.3dfx-altar.com is the most suitable name, considering your website is like an "altar" to put 3dfx upon; to remember a company that left great moments in gaming industry.
IMO, names like www.3dfx-info.com is too general. On the other hand, names like www.3dfx-guru.com is more suitable for a website that focuses on the technical details, like 3dfx tweaking guide, OC/modding guide, 3dfx variables, as well as running new games on 3dfx cards.

very holy sounding! and the site really does seem like it is a place to worship 3dfx...... have you started a links page yet? I haven't gotten a chance to take a peak myself yet.......
dude...... I just checked it out..... really sweet looking site and very clean. I LOVE the black backrounds with the yellow text. all the text looks sweet on the black backrounds. keep up the great work.

So in a few days I hope to have that url running. I to found that 3dfx-altar was the best suitable name for the site. As soon as it works I will return to tell you guys :>
Oh by the way bloodworm, no I haven't started a linkpage yet. I will surely do it, but first I want to get my site complete with it's new url and I still have to find that Voodoo 3 TL info...
