Hi guys,I'll be getting an powermac g4 (for free) and I was thinking of putting there my voodoo 3 3000,can I flash it to "mac version" or it isn't necessary?
Other thing, the drivers available support wich versions of macos?

I guess for xp-m with agp 3.3v support, you are limited to kt333 boards,kt3 ultra was one of the best, but epox was one too,and abit..
keep in mind that this boards maybe could only handle 2Gb without overclock...
I had a nf2 (dfi) and with 2x1Gb it was a pain to overclock..
you could try tyan boards :)
If it was me,i'd stay with that board..you won't earn a lot..I guess..
Buy some good tccd ram (2x512) (patriot xblk for example) and you are more than well served, and since most kt333 board won't go further than 200Mhz/230Mhz you can have lower timings, that amds love :)

BIOS Update did not help...  I've gone back to the V5 5500 for testing.  I got a 5500 driver to install, and everything looks okay in 2D but as soon as I launch a 3D application (about 10-20 seconds) the system hangs.  Maybe I've got to change some AGP setting in the BIOS, or perhaps this board is defective?

I've run a CPU burn-in test, memory test, and hard disk test - each of those pass with no problems.

Thanks!

and for example with another agp card?what happens?
it seems me more like something memory related, what tests did you ran?
try runing a few hours of prime95
because for example,my systems passes memtest but it doesn't even boot to windows..lol

Hi guys, now I am limited to a HP Quadro 980XGL 128Mb (+- like geforce4 ti4800),and I wanted to run GTR Evolution on it,but the game asks for a dx9 card,is there a way to "hack it"?
I downloaded 3danalyze but didn't found nothing..

Have you tried to upgrade the bios of the board?maybe new revisions take more processors..
That 8k3A+ was a very good board in the time..

Does anybody know how to make voodoo 2 usable in ubuntu?
I am using 8.10 32bit.my main card is either a quadro 4 980xgl or a 6800gt biosmodded to Quadro FX4000.

Hey, how did you run 3Dmark 2k1 on the voodoos? On my machine, I'm not allowed to select them (they are in SLI), only the primary display (R8500)...

Thanks,

i can't remember, maybe it was because my primary display was a matrox 2mb...
