Title: Everquest
Post by: jdklusman on 13 April 2004, 04:16:17
The term has taken on a new meaning for my fav. game.  They have recently upgraded the engine, and now require DX 9.0b, thus breaking my system.  I have a voodoo 3 2000 PCI, running win 98.  I have $0, I CAN NOT upgrade.  I won't be able to upgrade for awhile (yr. or more).  Is there some drivers that work with DX 9 for win 98? Is there a tweak, third party program that can fix my prob.?  I don't care about any DX 9 features, i just want to play the game on lowest settings, plz help

What are the required hardware specs for the game after the updated engine? eg cpu speed, video memory etc...

It's hopeless. The latest version of Everquest requires a directx 9 video card, and although many have tried, nobody has been able to get this to run yet, and I seriously doubt that you'll be able to. Sorry [:(]
