I don't know how long 3dfx.com is not online anymore, and maybe you've discussed about this before. Does this mean that from this moment, anyone can registe and use this URL to put online a webpage? ;)

3DFX.com still belongs to NVIDIA US INVESTMENT COMPANY
until 05/02/2008

The server might have been taken down though.

yep,its down for a while.two weaks at least..I guess that means good-bye voodoofiles forever.the site sucked,but I will miss the forum..

well there's no dns record, so it might be possible to register it.

Edit: after some more searching found out that it's still in nvidia's dns servers :/

The site has been down since about 2 or 3 weeks before I posted this here: http://www.3dfxzone.it/enboard/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1714&whichpage=2

Nvidia own the domain name as has been said by Hank Semenec, and probably will do as long as they own the 3dfx name, which is understandable. ps47 is correct about Voodoofiles that the forums were one of the best on the net wheras the actual .com site was not very good at all. Without the Link from Nvidia, it's debateable whether Voodoofiles will survive much longer, unless the webmaster of that site has any other ideas. The archiving of files is extremely badly organised at present with many files in the wrong sections and many broken links. I can't think of any reason why anyone would look for a file there.

Well, I'd tried to registrate 3dfx.com, and I found that these domains are not available: 3dfx.com, 3dfx.info, 3dfx.biz, 3dfx.net, 3dfx.org, 3dfx.us. So, it's clear that nVIDIA took out the web page from the Internet -but it still own the domain name-. Fortunatelly, we still have places like 3dfxzone.it!!!
