General Discussions / 3dfx Power Supply?
02 September 2009, 20:18:48
Hey!, I'm from Argentina and I saw at the local e-Bay like web page (MercadoLibre) a guy that sells a 3dfx 500W Power Supply. I'm really surprised because the box has printed the newer 3dfx logo on it what it makes it look more real. Did you know about 3fdx producing power supplies?. And if it's a 500W it should have no more than 2 years old. Here's the link (in spanish): http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-58205236-fuente-atx-24pin-3dfx-500w-reales-_JM

Are you guys thinking in release a driver set for the upcoming Windows Vista Operating System in both 32 and 64 bits?

Hi guys, I would like to tell you what is happening when I wanna play Redline Racer to me -a rather old arcade about motoracing-. I got a PowerColor evilKING (Voodoo2). I installed FastVoodoo2 4.0 XP GE drivers; everything fine!.

But when I want to play the game, I got a 2/3 seconds of delay between the time I press a key, and the reponse I got. For example I want to set the username; I press the first letter of my name, and between 2/3 seconds later, the letter appears. In shuch scenario, it's impossible to play.

If I set the compatibility mode to Windows 95, this problem is gone. But when the game is finnishing the loading process, it asks me for the CD -this doesn't happen if I play in Windows XP compatibility mode-. The CD is inserted in it's drive.

Do you know what could I do to solve this issue?.

MSI NX6600 Diamond Video Card
1Gb of RAM (2 x 512Mb)
AMD Athlon 64Bits 3000+

Maxtor 6V200E0 HDD 200Gb (SATA II)
Samsung CDRW
Samsung 173v LCD Monitor (17 inches)
Windows XP Home Edition -spanish- with SP2

General Discussions / Motion blur

I remember the days when 3dfx introduced the T-Buffer and the exceptional effects in it: Real-time Full-Scene HW Anti-Aliasing, Deep of Field Blur, Motion blur, Soft Shadows, Soft Reflections, etc.
I remember the only Motion blur project at the time -Quake III Arena- and the fantastic look of it.
Today, I've played Motorhead. I didn't know that has built in Motion blur effects. Do you wanna see them?. To me, they're great!!!. Do you know other Motion blur games?

General Discussions / About 3dfx Interactive Inc.

Recently, Diamond Multimedia return from it's own death. Is there a possibility that 3dfx get back to the arena some day?.
I would like to interview Scott Sellers -a home made interview- to ask him a lot of things about 3dfx; Does anybody has an e-mail address, a phone number, something?
Wouldn't be fantastic that 3dfx come back?

Does anyone know what's going on at http://www.voodoofiles.com with the latest 3dfx reference drivers?. All the links are dead, and are lot of new files as "official drivers" that seems **** to me. [?]

...pass-through cable.

Can I use a 3dfx Voodoo2 (manufactured by 3dfx) and a pass-through cable (manufactured by Diamond) for the Monster 3D II?

General Hardware / Monitor darkness
14 June 2004, 15:44:53
I have a Samsung SyncMaster 700s -7 years old-. It's CRT is very dark, although I set the brigthness to the maximum. I use 3Deep to manage the gammas, so the desktop and games are more brillants. But 3Deep doesn't work for movies. No matter what movie I wanna see, it's dark like ****!  [xx(] Do you know a software that allow me to see the movies more brillant?
Thanks guys.

Hi guys, I was wondering -just for curiosity- why there's no D3D drivers for Voodoo2 on Windows 2000/XP. Anyone know?
#15
First of all, sorry if the question I'm gonna do is stupid; but is it possible to develop the D3D drivers for Voodoo2 for Windows 2000/XP?
