i want to know if the new driver for
voodoo2( such as FastVoodoo2 4.0 Gold Editon) support ms directx9.0 ?

Under Win9x/ME, the drivers were coded for DirX7 so if "compatibility" this is "simply" because DirX is backwards compatible.
The best is to use your main gfx card with the last games and the Voodoo2 with the games coded for it.
Under NT4/Win2k/XP, the OS doesn't support the accelerator multimedia device (like the Voodoo2) due to the way that MS coded the kernel, so you get "only" a support for OpenGl (1.1) and Glide

ps : do you have a problem with your card or a game ?

Of course for Nightbird, that's a perfect reply ;)

I add only that Voodoo2 chip-set is DirectX 5 compliant so it cannot run Direct 6/7/8/9 based istructions for clear hardware limitations...
