Title: Half Life 1 in Glide/OpenGl mode ?
Post by: in3d on 20 February 2007, 01:05:07
Hi all,

It's possible for me to play Halfe Life 1 in Glide/OpenGL mode and would I have better performances than Direct3D mode ?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: what do you suggest as drivers ?
Edit2: I wont to know what to use  for Counter Strike also if possible .Thx.

yes, half life is an opengl game.I would use SFFT driver with original opengl/glide files from 3dfx,and default opengl mode for half life.

So I have to use the latest SFFT (v44) with original opengl/glide files from 3dfx, but where I can find these files ? and can I use MesaFx 0.6.2.0.2 or Sage instead ? I see in Half Life's Video Options 3 modes (Software, Opengl and Direct3D) and the Software mode is checked by default, I have to check OpenGL mode instead or it detects it automatically ?

just read the thread I have linked, everything is there.once you are finished with the drivers, select opengl and you should be ready to go..
