Title: Help!!! VooDoo Rush problem

hi! I bought a VooDoo Rush, whit MX 2d chip, manufactuer is Aristo.(6mb)
I tried this drivers: macronix-voodoorush-v10211B
                     macronix-voodoorush-v104000
                     3rd party Win98 driver on falconfly (I dnt know                
                     (the full name)

the problem is: The 2d chip work as well (not perfectly but its working) but I cant start any glide applications... I tried Donut Demo, Resident Evil 2, Turok 2, NFS 2 SE. When im trying to run one app., I got black screen, or in Resident Evil 2 its runing 1 sec whit texture bugs, and its frooze... I reinstalled the Win98SE, its not solve my problem...
please help!!

Did you have an other Voodoo card in your system "before" ?
Did you also set your desktop display color on "16-bit" ?
(The 3D acceleration of the Voodoo Rush only supports 16 bit -High Color- mode)
About NFS2 SE, this game doesn't identify correctly the Voodoo Rush + MX86251, you need to patch the game.

(let's hope that the card is not damaged)

well, What program/game I try to run? I tried Donut demo, resident Evil 2(changed to Rush mode!), Turok 2. Now I reinstalled the Win98SE, and I tried whit another PC, and the same problem... Now im try the desktop 16bit... 5min

same problem... I see the 3dfx logo for half secound, (when its very "little")and frooze again... I see the mouse cursor, but im cant use ALT+CTRL+DEL or other keyboard combinations...

The card looks like not damaged... I seen it

I tried 2 machines:

PII 500mhz
Siemens Mainboard (BX440 Chipset)
300W Power supply

AMD Athlon 1600@1900+
Matsonic MS8137c (VIA KT266 chipset)
350W Power Supply

now I updated the Dricet X to 9c, and Turok 2 runs 1.5 sec in D3D mode, than Gray screen, or black and its froze again... lol...

I would keep the P2 (slower).
I tried a Voodoo Rush on a Amd TB 1200 and that was difficult.  [:p]

is the card "hot" ?

Yes, All chips are hot, but the MX chip was the hottest [B)]

I have the feeling that you have perhaps an over-heating problem.
Maybe you can try to solve it with added fans (for an old 486)
