lol, well i was kinda busy with my study, both the 3dhq site and overclockers.nl (dutch overclockers site which is visited a lot) died, and i lost a bit interest in my pc...
i visited 3dfxzone.it from time to time though... guess im becoming more interested in hardware again...

i also visit www.x3dfxgamers.de, x3dfxgamers and the amigamerlin team seem to be the only ones left to develop drivers...

Sí Raziel64. Ya te había puesto un post en español para ayudarte a compilar los fuentes de los drivers para la Banshee. Pero como no me contestaste...

QuoteOf course, if your card vendor has gone out of business, it's unlikely your card will have drivers that are current enough to even run Half-Life 2. This means you, 3dfx owners.

So has AM 3.0 improved enough [?]

but i saw the geo assist only in win98
on 2000/xp there's no geo assist, or is there?

No geometry assist in the NT kernel, i.e. Windows NT/2000/XP.

is there no way to make geo assist work under NT?

Black_Out

Ok, dude you are on crack!

There IS Geometry Assist, but is is the "Enable MMX. . . ." what do you think the Win9x drivers are providing Geomitery assist, thru the advanced instrution set of the pentium II or higher processor. This has nothing to do with the NT kernel especially since Win2000 came along it was redesigned form ground up (hope you weren't referring to NT4?) and it isn't limited like the previous of the kernel (Being NT 4).[B)][B)]

;) Belive me -- I tested this stuff at Intel, MMX and SSE do provide Geomertry assistance (though that is only 1 funtion) very well, I belive the reason it was called referred to as enable mmx (,etc.) is becuase they are providing Geometry Assist differntly (if not more effciently) through Win2000_XP due to they have far greater capabilities than any 9x core.[^]

^ So wtf are you saying? Is there or is there no Geometry Assist in the NT kernel? I know for a fact there is no Geometry Assist. The option's there, but non functional. Your best bet is to use 3danalyze. That's what I used with my Voodoo 5 before upgrading.

Does geo assist also use 3DNow instructions?
